We are all inundated with thoughts. We are told that thoughts control your emotions and that controls your behaviour. So, you need only change your thoughts to change your life. That is a top-down framework. However, after studying the body as an emergency physician, and now the mind as a counsellor, I now see how people work in a bottom-up system. We don’t act and feel because we think a certain way. We think a certain way because of the way we act and feel. I know – it’s counterintuitive.

Life is a Feeling game. We are feeling beings. We often feel upset when things don’t work, or when we fail or when other people criticize us. That’s normal. However, when the reaction is too strong, those external factors are no longer the cause – they have become the trigger of an old pain or fear that happened to you in your past. That’s why you can’t figure it out because it’s not about what is happening today. So, you need to “feel it out”.  This App will help you get in touch with the Parts of you that are making you feel, think and do things that seem irrational and self-sabotaging. 

Use it when you are feeling very anxious, sad, guilty or angry or any other strong negative emotion. As opposed to what many people were told, you don’t have to get rid of your fears or other negative emotional states. The strongest person is not one who is numb but one who can feel their emotions and act in a balanced way.

The 6 steps in this App will help you change your emotional state anywhere, any time and in any situation. It will help you get into what I call your “True Self”, where your actions are more balanced and make you stronger. Your True Self is more capable of managing your fears with compassion. You do not need to improve yourself – you are good the way you are. You just need to learn how to “call your True Self” forward more often. 

The beauty of this is that the more you use it, the more you will be aware of when an old fearful behaviour pattern has taken over and the more your True Self can step up and resume its leadership position. It is really mental fitness training. And just like physical fitness training, it is meant to be used daily for life. You won’t believe what you are capable of doing or being, until you are spending the majority of your time in your True Self. It may be the best gift you can give to yourself or to anyone else.
